Rowlett Solar That Starts With a Careful Look at Your Home

Our crew puts up new solar panels and battery storage, tracks down why a system's output dropped, and cleans panels gone dull with dust and pollen. Before we suggest anything, we check your roof, your electric panel and a year of your bills. We work in Rowlett, Garland and Sachse, and you get plain findings first.

How a Solar Job Runs

Here is each step, from your call to us through the day the utility lets your system start producing.

  1. 1

    Phone call and bill review

You tell us what you want: lower bills, backup power or a fix for a system that quit. We ask for recent electric bills and set a time to come out.

  2. 2

    On-site inspection

We check the roof surface and pitch, measure shade, look at the attic where we can and open the main panel. This usually takes an hour or two, and you are welcome to walk along.

  3. 3

    Findings and estimate

You get photos, a plain write-up of what we saw and a line-item estimate. If solar does not make sense for your house yet, you hear that from us too.

  4. 4

    Permit, install and sign-off

We pull the permit, schedule the install and handle the city inspection and utility paperwork. Most installs take one to three days on the roof, then the system waits for permission to operate before it turns on.

The Solar Work We Do

Our crew has been in business 5 years and earned the Liberty Mutual Platinum Safety Award along the way. Solar work we do is backed by a 10-year workmanship warranty. We handle solar panel installation, roof-mounted solar, battery storage, solar repair and panel cleaning, and we only recommend what your home actually needs.

  • Two installers in safety harnesses set a black solar panel onto aluminum rails on a gray shingle roof above a brick wall, with a ladder against the gutter

    Solar Panel Installation

New solar systems designed around what we find on your roof, in your electrical panel and on a year of your power bills.

  • Technician in a cap and work gloves fitting a grey battery unit onto a home's siding beside a disconnect box and metal conduit, brick house in background

    Battery Storage

Home batteries sized from your bills and your electrical panel, so you know what will stay on when the grid goes down.

  • Technician in a cap and gloves tests wiring with a multimeter inside an open electrical box on a stucco house wall below roof-mounted solar panels

    Solar Repair

We track down why your solar system is underperforming, show you the cause with photos and readings, then fix the part that actually failed.

  • Technician in a safety harness scrubbing rooftop solar panels with a water-fed brush on a long pole above a shingle roof in a suburban neighborhood

    Panel Cleaning

Soft-brush, pure-water cleaning that clears dust, pollen and droppings off your panels, with a panel-by-panel check while we're up there.

  • Black solar panel array flush-mounted on a brown shingle roof of a single-story brick home, with electrical disconnects and meter on the back wall

    Roof-Mounted Solar

Panels bolted into your rafters with flashed mounts, after we check the roof, attic and electrical panel and tell you plainly what we found.

A Small Solar Company That Shows Its Work

Too many homeowners get sold systems nobody looked at closely. A panel layout drawn from a satellite photo misses the vent stack, the shade from the neighbor's oak and the panel box with no open breaker space. We would rather spend the time on your roof first.

North Texas is hard on solar equipment. Hail, long hot summers and spring storms all test panels, wiring and mounts. We design and fasten every array with that in mind, and we come back when something needs a look. You talk to the people who will do the work, not a call center.

Where We Work

We are based in Rowlett and work across the east side of the Dallas area. That includes Garland, Sachse, Richardson, Wylie, Rockwall, Fate, Murphy, Heath, Travis Ranch and Sunnyvale. Many homes here are newer builds with tidy rooflines, while others are older and need a closer look at the panel and roof before anything goes up.

Why Homeowners Call Us First

Most people we meet have already sat through a sales pitch. We do it the other way around. We look, we measure, then we tell you what we saw.

We look before we recommend

We get on the roof, open the electric panel and read your usage history before we talk about system size. If your roof has only a few years left, or shade cuts your production in half, you hear that first.

Photos of what we found

You get pictures of your roof surface, attic framing where we can reach it, the main panel and any problem spots. You can look at the same things we looked at and make your own call.

A straight answer on repair or replace

If an inverter can be fixed, we fix it. If a few panels need to be swapped, we say so. We do not push a new system when the old one has good years left.

Line-item estimates

Panels, inverters, racking, wiring, permits and labor each get their own line. No lump sum you have to guess at.

We keep the job tidy

We protect landscaping and walkways, keep the driveway clear when we can and pick up wire scraps and packaging before we leave. You should not find a screw in the lawn a week later.

What Moves the Price of Solar

No two homes come out the same, so we do not quote off a map or a phone call alone. These are the things that move the number up or down. We walk you through each one in your estimate.

After the site visit we write up an estimate with each item listed and walk through it with you. You decide in your own time, with nothing to sign that day.

How much power you use
Your past 12 months of bills set the target. A home with a pool pump and a long cooling season needs more panels than one that runs light.
Roof layout and shade
South and west faces with no trees produce the most. Several small roof planes, vents in the way or a big shade tree mean more racking, more design time or fewer usable spots.
Your electric panel
An older or crowded breaker box may need upgrading, or a different hookup method, before the new system can connect. We open it on the first visit, so you know early and not halfway through the job.
Equipment choices
String inverters, microinverters and optimizers cost different amounts and behave differently with shade. Adding battery storage changes the price again, depending on how much backup you want.
Permits and utility steps
The city permit and the utility interconnection each add paperwork and some cost. We include them in the estimate rather than tacking them on.
Condition of what is underneath
Soft decking or brittle shingles under the array need attention before panels go on. We show you photos and explain it so you can plan.

Questions Homeowners Ask Us

Is my roof a good fit for solar?
It depends on its age, direction and shade. A roof facing south or west with little shade usually works well. If your shingles are near the end of their life, we will tell you, because putting panels on a roof that needs work soon means paying to remove and reinstall them later. We show you photos so you can judge for yourself.
How much will solar save me on my electric bill?
That comes down to your usage, your roof and your electricity plan's buyback terms. We work from your actual bills, not a national average. Your estimate shows expected production so you can compare it with what you use today.
Do I need a battery?
Not always. Storage earns its place when power outages worry you, or when your electricity plan pays very little for the extra power your panels push back to the grid. If neither one matters much to you, panels alone may be the better value. We go over both options on our battery storage page and in person.
What warranty comes with the work?
Our solar work comes with a 10-year workmanship warranty on solar. It covers the work our crew does. Panels and inverters also carry their own manufacturer warranties, and we go over which one covers what before you sign.
My panels stopped producing. Can you fix a system someone else installed?
Yes, in most cases. We start by checking the inverter, monitoring data, breakers and wiring to find the cause. Common culprits are a failed inverter, a loose connection or a tripped breaker after a storm. Our solar repair page covers more of what we see.
How often should panels be cleaned?
Rain does some of the work, but dust, pollen and bird droppings build up through dry stretches. Most homes do well with a cleaning once or twice a year. If your production drops and the panels look hazy, it is worth a look. We use soft brushes and clean water, never harsh chemicals or pressure washers.
Who handles the permit and utility paperwork?
We do. We pull the city permit, meet the inspector and file the interconnection paperwork with the utility. You will get a heads-up when each step is done and when your system can be turned on.
